Exciting news just in from Poland, the upcoming 29th Days of Music will take place over two days at the 1,200 seat Cultural and Sports Centre in Jaworzno that will also feature Polish Jazz superstar Basia, who has an incredible vocal range of almost three octaves, the Cuban vocalist Mili Morena who channels salsa, bolero, cha cha cha, cumbii and new rhythms like reggeaton. and the mega-gifted trumpeter Kevin Robinson, who has worked with with Ray Charles, Paul McCartney, Mick Huknall, The Pet Shop Boys, and Annie Lennox and has performed with Basia for two decades now. The concert is extra special because it was in Jaworzno that Basia made her debut in 1969, at the age of 15, with a local rock band.
On her first tour of Poland in 1994 she was promoted as the only Polish vocalist who has made a career in the West and in 2005, she received an award from the Polish Ministry of Culture for promoting Polish culture abroad.
Also part of the festivities will be a concert by the Fun City Orchestra under the baton of Mark Jaworznianina Malisz along with invited guests.
